You cannot confirm that an OnEll fits a car from the vehicle name or a boot photograph alone. The answer depends on the bicycle configuration, the access opening and the space actually available. Check these before choosing a model.
Measure the entrance before the internal volume
Record the clear width and height of the opening, including narrow sections, trim and the angle of the lid. Then measure usable depth with the seats in their travelling position. The car manufacturer's luggage volume in litres does not describe the shape of that space.
If you usually carry passengers and luggage, keep that arrangement when measuring. A fit that requires every seat to fold may not work for your planned outing.
Request measurements for the transport configuration
OnEll FD models have folding frames. Explore the folding collection and ask the team for the transport dimensions of the model you are considering. Clearly distinguish assembled, folded and packaged measurements.
You can start with: “I intend to transport an OnEll [model]. My car has a clear opening of [width] by [height] and [depth] of available space. Can you confirm the dimensions and recommended transport arrangement?”
Assess handling and securing the bicycle
- Confirm net weight if you will need to lift the equipment.
- Consider who will load and unload it.
- Check how the bicycle can be accommodated and secured properly.
- Do not improvise disassembly or modifications without guidance.
- Avoid loose loads or arrangements that obstruct visibility or seating.
These questions also apply to an external carrier. Compatibility needs confirmation; being advertised as a bicycle carrier is not enough.
Decide with documented confirmation
